You will help to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner.
An excellent Production Assistant is willing to learn our production procedures and assist in creating ways to optimize them.
They are organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills.
Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role, and strong MS Excel skills are required.
The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.
Business analytics and computer science experience are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities Production Manager Support Writing up new and repeat jobs Receive paperboard Create schedule tickets Review Sheeter, Printer, D?C, and Gluing Job Cards from previous run prior to job input Update board roll inventory sheets Assign finished good item numbers when requested by sales Track incoming rolls and late POs Programming and coding project support Schedule Board Support Scan Schedule Board tickets to assign to machine and to sequence into run order, duplicating what is on the manual schedule board Create, edit, and distribute the 1st shift report (schedule) Shop Floor Support Daily review of shop floor data/verify accurate data posting to the ASI database Balancing finished jobs Verify counts for Make & Ship jobs Assist with fixing incorrect Finished Goods load tags Job Review Meeting Preparation Run Job Costing Data Reports as advised by VP of Operations/Procurement Verify accuracy of J-R-3 Reports with Costing /Procurement Manager as needed Enter data in Job Review Meeting Templates Print out data for Tuesday Bi-Weekly Meeting This role will also participate in AP meetings, assist with Finished Goods after sales orders are entered, Run reports for Estimating Department, Update and maintain linked excel files, as well as other duties required in the position.
Skills Basic to Intermediate knowledge of production planning and quality control principles Experience in MRP (Manufacturing resource planning) is preferred Highly efficient within MS Office and ERP systems is essential Good at math and statistics Coding and Programming knowledge is preferred Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are required Excellent communication abilities are needed This description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
