Traffic Control Technician Responsibilities Adhering to all OSHA and ATSSA safety rules and procedures Participate in or conduct daily JHA's (Job Hazard Assessments) Complete daily operational paperwork accurately Proper set up and tear down of work zones and traffic control devices such as signs, cones, etc.
Having awareness of drivers and monitoring the flow of traffic Alerting working crew if there are any safety issues Using stop/slow paddles to control traffic Cooperation with others such as our client's site leader Communication skills such as:
interaction with team members, giving alternative routes to members of the public, relaying information to emergency personnel Using radios or other communication devices Minimum Requirements:
Must hold a valid driver's license.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must pass an MVR check.
Must be comfortable standing for 8-10 hours a day.
Must be able to work year round in a wide variety of weather conditions.
Ability to react quickly in case of errant drivers Job Types:
