49 an hour Southwire is seeking experienced professionals to join their maintenance team in Bremen, IN! CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AN APTITUDE ASSESSMENT BEFORE BEING CONSIDERED FOR A MAINTENANCE POSITION.
Shift:
5p-5a, 4 days one week, the opposite 3 days the next 5a-5p, 4 days one week, opposite 3 days the next 8a-4p Monday - Friday (must have at least 8yrs mechanical and electrical experience in manufacturing environment to qualify for this shift) Pay Rate:
$28.
70- $35.
49 plus $1 per hour for overnight shift

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will support our manufacturing operations by providing a full range of multi craft equipment maintenance with focus on reliability.
Ensure sustainable operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, conveyor systems, and other production machinery.
The Maintenance Technician may also be a key member of process improvement and problem-solving teams.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 3 years experience in industrial maintenance role.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and OEM manuals.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic system Strong Mechanical & Electrical background 2-year Technical Degree preferred Must have computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS, Excel, etc.
) Understand manufacturing processes and manufacturing equipment.
Must be familiar with normal shop equipment such as drill press, band saw and portable power tools.
Ability to read and interpret precision measuring devices.
Ability to MIG and TIG weld desired.
Must pass written and hands-on certification tests.
Capability and willingness to mentor junior members of the maintenance department.
PRIMARY JOB TASKS:
Take the lead on equipment troubleshooting and improvement projects.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using logical and systematic methodologies.
Install and perform alignment on mechanical drive systems.
Identify failed or faulty components.
Disassemble machine and machine parts to replace identified failed parts or components.
Identify root cause of component failure.
Examine bearings, shafts, gears, and other mechanical components to identify failure mode.
Use precision measuring tools to ensure machines are functioning correctly and that parts within proper tolerances.
Familiar with machining processes and tooling.
Adjust equipment to bring it into operational specifications.
Maintain machinery lubrication requirements.
Recommend process or procedure changes based on observed equipment behavior.
Testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, using testing devices such as multimeter, oscilloscope, megohmmeter, and others to ensure proper operation and safety of system.
Understand principles of operation of AC/DC motors and drives.
Troubleshoot AC and DC drives to the board level.
Ability to use software to communicate with different brands of drives.
Experience installing and commissioning Allen-Bradley and Siemens drives.
Ability to and experience in replacing obsolete drives with equivalent drive.
Install, repair, calibrate, or replace electronic components of various systems.
Ability to install, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
Maintain current and accurate maintenance data to determine establish historical records and future maintenance requirements.
